Two programs, at /client/referrals/. You are on one of them, and choosing is a one-time decision.
Invite a friend
- $20.00 in hosting credit per person you refer
- Paid once their cleared deposits reach $5.00
- Capped at 3 people per calendar year, so $60.00 per year; the allowance resets on January 1 (UTC)
- Paid as account credit, not cash
Affiliate
- 15% of every deposit your referred clients make, for the life of the account
- Payable as cash, with a $50.00 minimum per payout request
- Or convert to hosting credit at any time, with no minimum
Choosing
You cannot be on both, and you cannot join the second and keep what the first paid: that would be one signup paid for twice. Pick the one that suits you. If you genuinely need to move, open a ticket. Moving is forward-looking and does not touch anything already earned.
How attribution works
Share your link, /r/<your-code>/. A click is remembered for 90 days, and a
signup inside that window is attributed to you.
- A referred client belongs to exactly one referrer, permanently.
- The terms are frozen at signup. If the bonus changes later, existing referrals keep the terms they were created under.
- Referring yourself does not work, and signups from the same address as the referrer are rejected.
What counts as a deposit
Money that actually arrived: a paid invoice. Promotional credit, goodwill adjustments and bonuses are not deposits and do not unlock a payout.
Commission is a share of the invoice total, not of the credit posted, because a single payment can post several credit rows and only the first is money.
Balances
Your dashboard shows three numbers, and they are not the same:

Available is lower than balance while a payout is in the queue, so the same money cannot be requested as cash and spent as credit at the same time.
If a referred deposit is later refunded, the commission on it is reversed. The original entry stays in the history, because it happened.
